Witnessing or being in a life-threatening event, such as combat, natural disaster, car accident, sexual assault, or domestic violence, can cause PTSD.
It's normal to have upsetting memories, feel on edge, or have trouble sleeping after this type of event.
At first, it may be hard to do normal daily activities, like go to work, go to school, or spend time with people you care about. If it has been longer than a few months and you're still having symptoms, you may have PTSD. For some people, PTSD symptoms may start later on, or they may come and go over time.
Our holistic approach not only addresses the mind and body connection but also empowers individuals to cultivate inner peace and emotional balance. By integrating yoga, mindfulness and sound practices into a routine, you can create a sustainable path towards healing and personal growth.
To help someone with PTSD, offer emotional support, learn about the condition, and encourage your friend to seek help. Be a patient and understanding listener, and let them know you're there when they're ready to talk. Encourage them to engage in activities they enjoy and to stay connected with family and friends. Remember, recovery is a process and it takes time.
